27th Numerical Towing Tank Symposium
NuTTS 2025
The 27th NuTTS will be held at the Medvednica mountain, towering above the city of Zagreb, capital of Croatia. The event was organized by Cloud Towing Tank in cooperation with University of Duisburg-Essen. Conference venue is a small hotel located at the top of Medvednica called Tomislavov dom, where participants are accommodated. All participants stay and have meals together to maximize interaction and discussion.
The objective of the event is to provide a forum for informal discussions among experts in the field and to disseminate latest results. Younger researchers and Ph.D. students are especially encouraged to participate.
Topics:
- Simulation of flow around marine structures, including flow-induced body motion (ships, offshore structures and floating bodies of all kinds);
- Simulation of wave-body interaction;
- Simulation of flow around sea-based renewable energy devices (wave, tidal, floating wind, floating solar etc.)
- Related topics (validation experiments, numerical techniques, grid generation, etc.)

One of important goals for every NuTTS is to provide young researchers in hte field of numerical ship hydrodynamics an opportunity to access the top experts in the field, and to discuss their ideas in a productive and open atmosphere. Conference fee covers for accomodation and food expenses for all participants, providing a low-cost attendance fee for youn researchers with limited travel budget. For this reason, event sponsors are essential in enabling the event to be held without financial losses, while still providing the benefits to young researchers.
